Dang 2 weeks already have gone by since I've been here. it was my first week at the center for american progress. www.americanprogress.org This is the first time I got dressed up to go to work every day 9-6.. its no joke. Props go out to everyone that has done this before me including my parents . Yea, but i can really get used to this lifestyle. its a little boring compared to what i'm use to but as long as its paying for my Bentley it's going to be all gravy Lolz. So, wtf is it that you do? everyone asks... to put it plain and simple i handle the CRM (customer relation management) system, help with the big event that the center is going to throw next month, and make phone calls -- alot of phone calls. there are only 2 interns in my department so it is very hands on, which is a good thing. I've been seeing some political celebs at work too like the Iraq correspondent from CNN, some journalists, etc etc. I might one day finally work up my courage to even try to get on screen haha.

So this is a weird thing i found in DC, i dont know if its suppose to be funny or serious. the license plates here say "Taxation without Representation." L...O...L...?
some other things you might not have known about DC: there are A LOT of young people here, the turnover for jobs are really high in DC so that probably has much to do with the demography. people are here fighting a cause and go home/get their feet wet and bounce/or just get sick of it here. It is a really good place to jump start your career but I really doubt you would want to live here. It just does not feel like "home" and I doubt that it ever will.

So these are my roommates in front of the white house. most of you guys probably dont realize the image of the house you see here is actually the back. the front has it's own zip code (not really but its big).

Okay, so I WAS writing this entry but now its in two parts week 2 and week 3 . i forgot that i had a blog for a little bit.. for those of you who stayed tuned for nothing, all i can tell u is GET A LIFE. hahaha but still come to my blog and leave comments.

so week 3, it's getting pretty normalized -- i'm use to how everything is around here. i know all the streets pretty well i really doubt i'll get lost in DC now. everything is either on a # or a letter, so if you know your alphabets you're pretty straight. As you can probably tell i've been to a couple cool drinkin spots. sometimes with my roommates other times with some friends that are out here. mainly craig ahaha. We went to this bar that has the largest menu of beer , or so they claim... but we learned that blue moon and similar tasting beers are supposedly consumed when its warm. it tastes like shit i.m.o. give me a tgif tap ICE COLD beer over authenticity any day.

Also i went to virginia.. the photos are in my camera and writing this blog has already drained me already i dont have the energy to reach behind my laptop and unclick the lock for my memory card, push the memory card in to pull it out, then stick it in my laptop, then drag it into another folder then resize it and upload it so i can write more descriptions so... those are going to have to wait til next time.

So i saw these little kids i told em i had some candy and they started running with me back home. but truth was i had no candy... it was a lie. like everything else is in this fake ass city.. including these kids. :(

I can't say this trip is uneventful. Pretty F*cking fun actually. everyday i see/learn something new. useful and useless. it beats being sucked into the dark hole of life... that i've managed to put off until june.
